6 Creative Ways To Display Your Photographs

As a lover of photography I’m always looking for ways to jazz-up and display my photos. With my unhealthy obsession with Pinterest I’ve recently managed to find some fun and great ways to use photographs. Here are my favourites…

1.  Visit one of your favourite places and take as many photos as you want, and create a photo montage with them when you get home. This is a great and alternative way to remember somewhere that is special to you as you can frame it and display it around the house.

2. ‘Graffiti’ your photographs. Why not write onto your favourite photos as a reminder of where you were, who you were with, and how you felt at the time. So many people see photos as precious objects and are too scared to alter them in any way. By writing, or even kissing on the photo it will remind you of just how special it is and what it means to you when you next see it.

3. Polaroid snaps are one of my favourite forms of photography. I love how you can’t alter them in any way and they are taken in an instant. Unlike digital photos which can be edited and deleted, a polaroid really does encapsulate a moment in time. A great way to display your polaroid pictures within the home is by using colourful sticky tape.

Use the tourist map from the place you've visited. Then, put the most memorable picture from the trip in the center.

4. I love this idea so much! A great way to capture a place that means something to you is to include a map within framed photographs. You could include anything from the place you got married, your first holiday with friends, or your family home.

5. I love the idea of using black and white photography with colourful pressed flowers. It creates a pretty photograph with a vintage feel. A great way to display photos of sisters and friends.

6. Why not try creating a heart collage with old photographs? This is so simple and easy to do, and yet looks so beautiful. I think Instagram photos would really look good displayed in this way.

Like our Christmas tree? We put it up last weekend. Our tree is full of old Christmas decorations that are full of memories. Hence why it looks a bit odd and eclectic.
